Chipotle pulls jalapenos from some restaurants amid salmonella probe

Chipotle has cooperated fully with investigations, Minnesota health officials said.

The Minnesota Department of Health said it had identified 110 salmonella cases in this outbreak, and the F.D.A. is also investigating.

Interviews of sickened individuals and genomic tests identified jalapeños from Chipotle and other fast-food Mexican restaurants as the source of the foodborne outbreak.

While Chipotle’s stock slid on Tuesday, it said health investigators had “no ongoing concerns” with the chain after it removed the jalapenos.
