Central bank schemes set to expand SME lending

The Bank of Thailand expects its two targeted lending schemes to increase lending to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by 130 billion baht by the end of next year, as overall bank lending has begun to recover.

T.N. Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay has instructed officials to increase loans given under the scheme by 25%. Orders have also been issued to ensure at least 30% of loans across categories are extended to new members
