Sreeshankar continued his impressive run at the Commonwealth Games by winning silver in the men's long jump with a best effort of 8.09m. He had also finished second at the 2022 Games, becoming the first Indian to win back-to-back Commonwealth Games medals in the event.

Gold rose to 4,094 $/oz and silver to 59.66 $/oz as a softer dollar and lower real yields supported bullion, with Mexico and Peru miners set to benefit.
