Capital One closed Trump Org accounts over money laundering concerns

Capital One attorneys said in court documents that the bank closed the Trump Organization's accounts over concerns about money laundering.

Capital One gave notice of its plans to close more than 300 Trump-affiliated bank accounts in March 2021.

The bank said the internal review was triggered by "transaction patterns" that "are among the types of activity flagged by federal banking guidance."
