Cameroon/Malawi: Cameroon Beat Malawi to Claim Maiden Women's Cup of Nations Title

[RFI] Cameroon claimed a first Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title when they beat Malawi 3-0 in Sunday's final in Morocco, with Marie Ngah Manga's first-half double helping the the Indomitable Lionesses seal victory.

Cameroon defeated tournament newcomers Malawi 3-0 in the final to win its first Women's Africa Cup of Nations title. Marie Ngah Manga scored twice and Naomi Eto added another goal. Both finalists, along with Morocco and Algeria, qualified for next year's Women's World Cup in Brazil.

The Indomitable Lionesses outshine their opponents to claim a first final victory on their fourth attempt in Morocco.

Cameroon lost at home and away to Algeria in the final qualifying round, but the organisers later increased the number of teams for the tournament from 12 to 16.
