The University of Cambridge said that it would be reviewing its hiring process for senior roles as it probes claims of plagiarism by a professor who resigned this week.

The university had previously defended Arday, but said its probe was prompted by “new information”.

Prof Priyamvada Gopal, who is part of the group, says Cambridge should not be "marking its own homework".
