Byron Buxton emerges from cornfield to give Twins needed pop, plus more Field of Dreams notes

The All-Star center fielder returned after missing the team's previous 14 games with a hip injury that has nagged him since May.

The Twins wished they’d played better in Dyersville, Iowa, but reliving childhood dreams, meeting their baseball idols and sharing it all with their families made the trip worthwhile.

The gathering of 26 is believed to be the most Hall of Famers together at one game since the 2008 All-Star Game, and accounted for just over a third of all living members enshrined in Cooperstown.
