Brazil's Amazonia Theaters join UNESCO World Heritage list

UNESCO added 25 World Heritage sites during its annual committee meeting, with Brazil's Amazonia Theaters becoming Latin America's only new addition.

India now has 45 World Heritage Sites according to the UNESCO website. The last addition or ‘inscription’ was in 2024, with the Maratha Military Landscapes located Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu.
