Police received reports that a young girl had been the victim of a sex attack at a park in Macduff, Aberdeenshire, on Monday August 10.

A 12-year-old boy has been charged in connection with the alleged sexual assault of an eight-year-old girl at a playpark in Macduff, Aberdeenshire.

Police Scotland said a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal over the incident that happened on August 10.
