Boris Nadezhdin, anti-war candidate in Russia, flees to France

Nadezhdin was prohibited from running in parliamentary elections in September. He posted a video from Paris, saying, "I'm alive and free."

LONDON, Aug 3 - Russian anti-war politician Boris Nadezhdin said on Monday that he had left the country for the time being, weeks after Moscow designated him a \"foreign agent\" and disqualified him from running in a parliamentary election.

Boris Nadezhdin has left Russia for France, the politician revealed in a video posted to his Telegram channel showing him standing in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris.

In a video recorded in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, the anti-war politician said he was “alive and free. But sadly, not yet in Russia.”
