Jackie, the beloved Big Bear bald eagle whose nest captivated millions online, has died.

Jackie had been receiving medical treatment since she was attacked by other eagles last month and found unable to fly near Big Bear Lake.

The eagle died nearly one month after she was brought to a rehabilitation center for treatment following a fight with two other birds, the Ojai Raptor Center said Monday.

Jackie remains critically ill as veterinarians work to treat severe anemia and determine the cause of her declining blood levels.
