BB ties foreigner bank accounts to work permits

In a circular issued today, the central bank said foreign employees, particularly those working under the A3 visa category, must receive their salaries and allowances through local bank accounts.

The Ministry of Labor in Egypt aims to launch a new system for issuing work permits to foreigners through a fully integrated digital platform and dedicated service center. This project comes as part of the ministry’s efforts to develop the foreign work permit services system and transition it to a fully digital model.
