B.C. man sentenced to 8 months in jail for possessing ‘heinous’ child sexual abuse material

A Kelowna man has been sentenced to eight months in jail for possession of child sexual abuse material.

Researchers identified more than 50 ads on Meta properties that violated the company's policies on child sexual abuse material.

More than 50 offending image and video ads were published across Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, or Threads, according to Meta’s ad library data. Some ran as recently as this week.
