Australian police recover body of missing teenage hiker near Sydney

SYDNEY: Australian police recovered the body of an 18-year-old hiker overnight from dense bushland in a remote national park near Sydney, authorities said on Friday (Aug 21), more than a week after she went missing.The body was airlifted from the site, and a post-mortem examination will be conducted in the coming days

The body of 18-year-old Lily Hooper was located about 11:30am on Thursday, but rough terrain had made the retrieval process difficult.

DNA tests conducted at a Valais hospital determined that the remains were those of two Belgian hikers, aged 39 and 41 at the time
