Officials said an unidentified object exploded near Augsburg’s main station

Train traffic was stopped at Augsburg central station on Wednesday following an explosion in a passageway early in the morning.

According to German media reports an object detonated at Augsburg station causing minor injuries and blowing out nearby windows.

Zacatecas Attorney General Cristian Camacho said Monday that authorities were investigating whether the attack was linked to the capture on Saturday of an 18-year-old man who is allegedly a sicario (hit man) for the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG).

The blast happened in the town of Ojocaliente in Zacatecas, a state with key routes for drug trafficking.
