Arkansas trooper threw teen down and punched her in the face during traffic stop, lawsuit says

An 18-year-old Black woman filed a lawsuit this week against an Arkansas State Police trooper she said “slammed her to the ground and struck her in the face” during a traffic stop.

Newly released video of a recent traffic stop in Arkansas shows a state trooper punching an 18-year-old Black woman in the face after forcing her to the ground on the side of a highway. The trooper claims the woman was resisting arrest. Warning, the video may be disturbing.
