Argentina create special day to mark England World Cup 2026 win

The Argentine Football Association has announced that 15 July will be 'National Football Teams Day' to mark Argentina's 2026 World Cup semi-final victory over England on that date.

Argentina came from 1-0 down in the closing stages of the match to beat England 2-1 and qualify for their second straight World Cup final. Enzo Fernández and Lautaro Martínez scored late goals after England had led until the 85th minute.

The Argentine Football Association announced that July 15 will be "National Football Teams Day".
