Apalachee High School shooter’s dad sentenced to 15 years

Colin Gray, the man who gifted his son an assault rifle the teenager used to shoot up a Georgia high school in 2024 was sentenced to prison on Thursday.

A 16-year-old who used an assault-style rifle to kill four people at his Georgia high school will spend the rest of his life in prison.

Colt Gray, 16, pleaded guilty Friday to 55 counts, including murder, in the Sept. 4, 2024, shooting at the school about 45 miles northeast of Atlanta. He was charged as an adult.

A judge on Tuesday sentenced Colt Gray to life in prison without the possibility of parole. Gray pleaded guilty to killing four people in the deadly 2024 shooting at Apalachee High School. CBS News correspondent Skyler Henry has the latest.
