Amber heat health alerts issued across almost ALL of England as mercury forecast to hit 36C this week

The Met Office has issued amber heat health alerts for most of England as temperatures are forecast to soar into the mid-30Cs this week, with the heat expected to peak at 36C on Thursday amid ongoing England drought conditions

The Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) said most of England is experiencing a "flash drought", which develops quickly and is the result of very low rainfall and high temperatures.

Temperatures remain high in the capital, with the mercury tipped to reach 35C on Thursday

These products contain the jalapeños at the center of the current salmonella outbreak.

The East Midlands, Lincolnshire and Northamptonshire, Kent and East Sussex, and Solent and the South Downs have moved into drought status.
