Amanda Janoo wins Democratic nomination for governor in Vermont

Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) won the Democratic gubernatorial primary in Minnesota, setting her up to take on the yet-to-be-called Republican nominee in the November general election. Klobuchar won the crowded primary by roughly 85 percentage points, receiving 89.1% of the vote, after the Associated Press called the race.

Josh Elliott, a state representative who mounted a primary challenge, pledged to raise taxes on the rich and take the state on a more progressive path.
