Ahn Pan-seok passes away at 64: ‘Behind The White Tower’ director's cause of death revealed

South Korean director Ahn Pan-seok, known for 'Behind the White Tower' and 'Spring Night', passed away at 64 after battling lung cancer and suffering a brain hemorrhage. His final project, ENA's 'Love Doctor' starring Choo Young-woo and Kim So-hyun, remains set to premiere in October as planned.

Built as part of the original St James Theatre in 1928, the tower stood tall overlooking Queen St before being covered up by steel cladding in 1953.
