KUMAMOTO (JAPAN) - A major quake that badly damaged a shopping mall and a factory in Japan killed at least five people, emergency services said on Wednesday.

Authorities respond to multiple incidents of buildings collapsing or catching fire. Some roads are badly damaged, and rail services are suspended and flights grounded.
