After 286 days in Middle East, 5,000 US soldiers arrive in Thailand for rest and recuperation

The Lincoln, with roughly ​5,000 sailors and Marines, was deployed in November last year and was involved in the US naval blockade and combat operations in the war with Iran.

Many of the service members are expected to make a visit to Pattaya, a nearby popular beach town.
