Michael Wright, known for the film “The Five Heartbeats” and the TV series “V,” has died at 70, his wife announced.

The actor passed away Wednesday in Los Angeles from heart failure combined with complications from a rare neurological disorder called Marchiafava-Bignami.

The New York native also was memorable as a Resistance fighter on ‘V’ and as the doomed inmate Omar White on ‘Oz.’
