Accused murderer Chalong in court, denied bail

Police have charged politician Chalong Riewraeng with premeditated murder and other serious offences in the shooting death of the Nonthaburi provincial administration chief, and he was denied release on bail by the provincial court on Tuesday.

An alleged people smuggler is denied bail after his fishing-trip alibi was dismissed because he had 10 illegal migrants in his hotel room and no evidence of an interest in fishing.
