Investigators searched the suspect's home, where they found an assault-style rifle, a pistol, a bulletproof vest, high-capacity magazines, ammunition, two radios as well as 'multiple notebooks containing concerning statements.'

The man was appearing to monitor security preparations two days ahead of a Trump fundraiser, authorities said.

A man with weapons in his home and vehicle who appeared to be “monitoring security-planning activities” at the Los Angeles-area Trump National Golf Course was arrested days before a planned presidential visit, the county sheriff’s department said Tuesday.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said Jeanine John Taele, 38, was taking photos and video and had a 16-round magazine with ammunition in his pocket.
