San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Ricky Pearsall will miss the upcoming season to get surgery on his knee.

Pearsall will miss the entire 2026 NFL season, forcing San Francisco to lean on its veteran receivers and a promising second-round rookie.

Pearsall missed 14 of 34 games in his first two seasons, including eight in 2025 with a right knee injury that continues to bother him.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the San Francisco 49ers didn't sign Deebo Samuel just because of Ricky Pearsall's injury.
