3 people died from suspected overdoses on Saturday in Regina: health ministry

A drug alert was issued for Regina after three people died from suspected overdoses on Saturday, the ministry of health said. The alert will be in effect for one week.

The person will be treated in isolation under procedures for handling high-risk infectious diseases and will be transferred to Ichilov Hospital.

Congo government figures show that the fastest-growing Ebola outbreak in history has spread to two new health zones in eastern Congo. One zone has a fatality rate from the disease of 69%.

The two new zones affected are Biena and Manguredjipa in Congo's North Kivu province, where the case fatality rate is much higher than the overall rate of 48%, due in part to delayed response efforts, according to Congo's Ministry of Health data.
