24 Canadians reportedly among the missing after flash flood in Nepal

Surveillance video captured the terrifying moment a massive flash flood tore through the border region of Nepal and Tibet, a crushing wall of water that swept away hundreds of people and buried buildings, bridges and roads in its path.

They are among hundreds of people still unaccounted for, with authorities for both countries saying they are closely monitoring the situation.

A huge wall of mud and rock collapsed into a river on the Himalayan border of Nepal and China's Tibet on Wednesday, triggering catastrophic flooding on the Nepali side.

Massive flash floods in a border area of Nepal and Tibet on Wednesday killed at least 98 people and left hundreds of tourists — including 24 Canadians — workers and others missing after sweeping through communities and bringing travel in some areas to a halt.
