15-year-old boy fatally shot in West Garfield Park identified

A 15-year-old boy who was fatally shot in West Garfield Park last month has been identified. Officers responded to calls of a person shot around 1 a.m. July 22 in the 4600 block of West Jackson Boulevard and found Lasiah Alexander Palmer with a gunshot wound to his head, Chicago police and the Cook County medical exam

The man was found fatally wounded inside a gray BMW that had crashed into a parked vehicle on the 4300 block of North Seventh Street, police said.
