12 killed and at least 10 injured in Polish bus crash in Hungary

The bus ran into a ditch and tipped over early on Sunday ​near the town of Mezokeresztes in eastern Hungary, police said.

By 3 a.m. on Sunday, the disaster management service reported that firefighters had so far rescued thirty-five people from the coach, while several passengers had been trapped beneath the vehicle.

"My sincere condolences to the families of the victims. I am grateful to everyone who took part in the rescue efforts," Hungarian Prime Minister Péter Magyar wrote.
