Marco Scholten, a highly respected 56-year-old volunteer track post leader, was summarily removed and kicked out of the volunteer organization, the Officials Club Automobielsport (OCA), just days before the 2026 Dutch Grand Prix. Scholten did not quit voluntarily; he was forced out after refusing to cooperate or share a communications channel with a fellow marshal who had committed child sex abuse.
