Youth, women participate in blood donation camp in Srikakulam

Youngsters and a woman donate blood in SSR Charitable Trust office at Vizianagaram on Sunday. | Photo Credit: VIZIANAGARAM As many as 80 youth and women donated blood at a blood donation camp organised in Srikakulam by industrialist Sura Srinivasa Rao, founder of SSR Charitable Trust and Dr. P.J. Naidu founder P.J. Hospitals and P.J. Blood Centre.In a press release, Mr. Srinivasa said that the trust gave top priority to raising awareness about blood donation, as there was a huge shortage of blood in government and private hospitals in Srikakulam.Dr. Naidu urged women and people living in rural areas to come forward to donate blood. He said blood donation is healthy as it helps the body form new blood cells after donation. Along with Mr. Srinivasa Rao, he distributed certificates and medals
