Yankees reveal George Lombard Jr. plans before MLB debut vs. Cardinals

The New York Yankees promoted their No. 1 prospect, shortstop George Lombard Jr., shortly after yesterday's 13-7 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals. Anthony Volpe, Jasson Dominguez, and Angel Chivilli were all sent down to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Trade acquisition Heliot Ramos takes Dominguez's spot on the active roster. The AL East club has not announced who will replace Chivilli. Lombard is a shortstop by trade but can also fill in at third and second base.
