Woman taken to hospital after fire breaks out in Glasgow flats

It does not necessarily reflect the view of The Herald. A woman has been taken to hospital following a fire that led to the evacuation of a block of flats in Glasgow. Fire crews were called to the building on Saracen Street shortly before 7pm on Thursday. They assisted residents in evacuating the property while firefighters extinguished the blaze. The road was closed while emergency services remained at the scene to ensure the building was safe and to check on residents.
