A woman police sub-inspector of the K.R. Puram Traffic Police Station has been accused of assaulting a college student during a heated argument near Bhattarahalli Signal over a road rage incident on August 12.A video purportedly showing the officer dragging a youth by his collar and slapping him has gone viral on social media, triggering calls for disciplinary action.The incident reportedly occurred on the Bhattarahalli-K.R. Puram road around 8.30 a.m.According to the complaint lodged by sub-inspector Nayana D., she was on traffic duty near the OMR Road-Bhattarahalli Junction when she noticed two persons arguing on the road.The complaint stated that when Nayana questioned one of the men, identified as Hemant, he allegedly abused her, caught hold of her uniform and assaulted her.
