Woman left paralysed after treatment; hospital, doctors told to pay Rs 15 lakh

A Ludhiana hospital and two doctors faced liability for medical negligence. A woman developed paralysis after a lumbar drain procedure for a nasal fluid leak. The commission found a lack of urgency in responding to her worsening symptoms. The hospital and doctors were directed to pay fifteen lakh rupees compensation. This amount will carry six percent annual interest from the complaint date.
