Woman held for drowning nine-month-old daughter in Bairamalguda lake

A 34-year-old woman was taken into custody after she drowned her nine-month-old daughter in Bairamalguda Lake on Sunday evening.According to the police, the accused, Lokasani Rajeshwari, a homemaker from Injapur in Rangareddy district and a native of Bidar district in Karnataka, allegedly drowned her daughter, Anuradha, at around 6.30 p.m.The body was shifted to the Osmania General Hospital mortuary for postmortem examination.Police said Rajeshwari was allegedly under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident. She has been taken into custody, and a case has been registered. The motive behind the incident is yet to be ascertained, and further investigation is underway.
