Why ESPN is parting ways with Karl Ravech among larger layoffs
ESPN is undergoing hefty layoffs this week, and it sounds like Karl Ravech is going to be one of the biggest names to be let go.The Athletic's Andrew Marchand reported the news on Tuesday morning."Karl Ravech, one of the lead voices on ESPN for more than three decades, is expected to be let go as part of a new round of layoffs, sources briefed on the move told The Athletic," Marchand writes.The news of Ravech's departure comes after it was already reported Monday night that NFL analyst Ryan Clark is on his way out.Ravech just worked Monday night in Philadelphia calling the Phillies' matchup with the Dodgers.He has spent time as ESPN's lead MLB play-by-play voice as well as a host for Baseball Tonight and SportsCenter.
