Merseyside Police said it was called around 8.15pm on Monday, August 10 after being alerted to the noise coming from a home on Mallow Road.‌Police and North West Ambulance Services attended the scene, where enquiries later discovered the noise had come from a resident burning rubbish. An electric device was put in the fire, which caused the loud bang, the force confirmed.
