Why Dodgers' Shohei Ohtani joining Yankees is a 'long shot'
The New York Yankees may need a replacement for Giancarlo Stanton in 2027. But Yankees fans should be thinking realistically. Is Shohei Ohtani a real option if the Los Angeles Dodgers are sold? The Athletic recently reported that a Dodgers sale is unlikely, which means Ohtani is staying put. "This is an extreme long shot. Mark Walter has agreed to sell the Los Angeles Lakers, and recent reporting has examined whether that development could affect the Dodgers' ownership outlook," Bleacher Report's Zachary D. Rymer wrote Tuesday. If the Yankees believe Ohtani may become available, they should do everything in their power to make him their full-time DH. MORE:
