White Sox add 'lockdown' All-Star closer in trade idea with Red Sox
The Chicago White Sox could emerge as a very tough out in this year's postseason. Remember, this is an organization that lost 121 games two seasons ago. Now, the roster and mindset of the front office and coaching staff are very different. The Athletic's Jim Bowden wrote Monday that the White Sox are one of the many clubs that could pursue bullpen help at this year's trade deadline. "The White Sox are looking to go from last to first just like the Blue Jays did last year. Their path would be easier if they add to the rotation and the back end of their bullpen," Bowden wrote.
