White Sox activate catcher Jake Rogers, demote Edgar Quero for third time this season

DETROIT — For the third time this season, Edgar Quero is the odd man out behind the plate. On Saturday, the White Sox added Jake Rogers to the 26-man roster and optioned Quero to Triple-A Charlotte. The Sox claimed Rogers off waivers from the Red Sox on Friday and designated left-hander Joe Rock for assignment to make room on the 40-man roster. He's in the lineup and batting ninth.
