What's OnWhat's On NewsStockportIt's set to be an 'unforgettable day in the town'09:58, 05 Aug 2026A special flypast will be seen in the skies of Stockport this weekend as a special display featuring RAF aircraft takes place.‌This year’s Krazy Races event will take over Stockport town centre with a family-fun celebration including the UK’s largest touring soapbox derby which will see a series of engineless and hand-built vehicles competing for tournament glory.‌Each year, the event, which draws in a big crowd, features around 40 soapbox teams who all make their way down a winding 350 metre track - with last year's event featuring vehicles featuring quirky designs inspired by the likes of Ghostbusters and the 1980s.‌Click here for the latest on Manchester's food & drink scene, gigs and more
