West Brom ‘devastated’ as former player dies after collapsing on pitch during friendly

West Brom have said they are “devastated” following the death of former midfielder Quevin Castro, aged 25.Castro, who made two senior appearances for the Baggies during a two-year spell at The Hawthorns, collapsed during a friendly match between his current club, third-tier Portuguese side Real Sport Clube, and Estrela da Amadora on Saturday and later died in hospital.West Brom said: “West Brom are devastated to learn of the untimely passing of Quevin Castro, aged just 25.“Albion will pay tribute to Quevin on Sunday, with a period of applause in the 25th minute of the fixture against Burnley.
