West Africa: Ecowas Member States Endorse Nigeria-Morocco African Atlantic Gas Pipeline

[This Day] The Summit of Heads of State and Government of the member countries of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) on Sunday signed an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) in Freetown, Sierra Leone, governing the development of the Nigeria-Morocco African Atlantic Gas Pipeline (AAGP), a nearly 6,800 kilometers energy infrastructure that will transport natural gas from Nigeria to Morocco, before connecting to the European gas network.
