July 07, 2026 10:08 AM ET Republican Kentucky Sen. Mitch McConnell’s staffers disclosed no new information about the senator’s health Tuesday despite his hospitalization for several weeks. McConnell was hospitalized on June 14 after paramedics found him unconscious inside his Washington, D.C., residence and performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for a “cardiac arrest.” A spokesperson for McConnell told the Daily Caller News Foundation that McConnell is “working closely with his staff” as he remained in the hospital.“Senator McConnell appreciates the outpouring of support he’s receiving while he continues his recovery in the hospital.
