Former chief of defence staff General Anil Chauhan has revealed that Indian forces had cleared Skardu in Gilgit-Baltistan as a possible target during Operation Sindoor but had to change plans because of “bad weather”.Chauhan, who was heading the military when Operation Sindoor was carried out, made the remarks while speaking at the Vivekananda International Foundation on Operation Sindoor and its aftermath.Recalling the counterterror operation, former CDS Chauhan said, "Once the Pakistanis had picked up the phone and said they wanted to talk at about 10 AM. The Air Chief asked me whether he should strike Sargodha, I said, Go ahead... I said, coul
