MANILA, Philippines — Some local government units (LGUs) suspended in-person classes on Thursday, August 13, due to heavy rains brought by the southwest monsoon. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the effects of the monsoon will prevail until Thursday.
