US representatives visit Taiwan to meet with president and other officials

A bipartisan US congressional delegation led by US Representative Young Kim has arrived in Taiwan for a three-day visit where the group is to meet President William Lai (賴清德) and other senior officials to strengthen bilateral ties, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said yesterday.Joining Kim are Democratic Representative Suhas Subramanyam and Republican representatives Michael Cloud and Randy Feenstra, the ministry said.During the group’s stay, the delegates are to meet with Lai, Minister of Foreign Affairs Lin Chia-lung (林佳龍) and other senior officials to discuss US-Taiwan trade and investment relations and regional security, the ministry said in a statement.
